In 'Small Opening' Edina has to confront the double-edged fame of inclusion in Saffy's autobiographical first play. Finally in 'Menopause' Eddy and Patsy face up to their age, however briefly, and join the local group of Menopausals Anonymous, but it's not all plain sailing...
2002 Christmas special of the Emmy award-winning series devised and written by Jennifer Saunders. While Patsy (Joanna Lumley) has embarked on a new career as Creative Director and Buyer for Jeremy's, a new concept fashion store, Eddie (Saunders) is becoming increasingly bored by Saffy (Julia Sawlha) and Bubble's (Jane Horrocks) company. After taking London Fashion Week by storm, Patsy has a new taste for flash photography, frocks and male models and sets her sights Stateside. In the meantime, Eddie discovers that her long-lost son Serge (Josh Hamilton) is living somewhere in New York - and despite Saffy's efforts to keep his exact whereabouts a secret, she also decides to descend on the Big Apple. Edina is particularly excited about tracking down her son when she discovers that he is gay. But will Serge turn out to be the Queen of Camp that she has always longed for, or will he be a square disappointment like Saffy?
Eight more episodes from Jennifer Saunders' satire on the world of magazines and fashion. Edina (Jennifer Saunders) is now a celebrity PR guru, and Patsy (Joanna Lumley) her 'style consultant'. In 'Cleanin'', Saffy (Julia Sawalha) returns from her travels in Iraq with some exciting news: she is pregnant. In 'Book Clubbin'', Patsy and Edina start a book club, and Edina is thrilled to discover that her grandchild is going to be mixed-race: the ultimate fashion accessory. In 'Panickin'', Edina has a panic room installed in her house - and manages to get locked inside it with Patsy. In 'Huntin', Shootin' and Fishin'', Edina and Patsy go away on a posh country house weekend that Edina won at auction. Saffy's baby is on its way in 'Birthin''. In 'Schmoozin'', Edina has a new boyfriend who, to her delight, works at Abbey Road Studios - until Patsy, in a drunken stupor, tapes over a priceless lost Beatles recording... In 'Exploitin'', Patsy and Edina 'borrow' Saffy's new baby girl, Jane, for a fashion shoot. In 'Cold Turkey', Edina spends Christmas at home - much to Saffy's annoyance, while Patsy ends up in hospital on a cocktail of drugs.
