The Prime 8x42 binocular is the perfect blend of magnification and field of view, allowing easy viewing of moving animals and birds. The EXO Barrier and Fully Multi Coated optics deliver bright images in any weather conditions.
Exclusive EXO Barrier Protection - Bushnell’s newest and best protective lens coating molecularly bonds to the glass, repelling water, oil, dust, debris and preventing scratches.
IPX7 Waterproof construction - O-ring sealed optics stay dry inside, when immersed in three feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
Multi Coated Optics - Multiple layers of coatings on all lens surfaces increase light transmission and image brightness.
PROSTAFF 7 models deliver high-quality optical performance in a stylish body.
Thanks to fully multilayer-coated lenses and prisms, phase-correction-coated roof prisms and high-reflection mirror coating prisms, these binoculars provide bright and clear images even in low-light.
The rubber armoured coating for shock resistance secures the comfortable grip when trekking, nature watching or attending sporting events.
These elegant Porro-prism binoculars have excellent optical characteristics. The fully coated optics guarantee a decisively higher light transmission through the glass, thus increasing colour fidelity and contrast. Diopter compensation is standard with these models. This makes these binoculars suitable for beginner birders or nature observers. Even on windy days a stable image is provided due to the 10x Magnification. The 50-mm onjective lenses gather enough brightness for observation even in twilight conditions. A carrying pouch and neck strap are included. For longer observations, a tripod-adaptor thread is integrated.
Combines 10x magnification with 50mm objective lenses for maximum
brightness.
- ED Prime Glass - Bushnell’s highest quality glass delivers
amazing color, resolution and contrast, even in low-light conditions.
- Exclusive EXO Barrier Protection - Bushnell’s newest and best
protective lens coating molecularly bonds to the glass, repelling
water, oil, dust, debris and preventing scratches.
- Dielectric Prism Coating - Applied to the prisms, it ensures

Protective EXO Exterior Lens Coatings
Uniquely optimized for viewing across vast flat terrain such as the prairies of the American west where the powerful magnification and wide field of view really shine, the Bushnell 12x50 Engage DX Binocular is also ideal for hunting and birding in the pre-dawn and late dusk when birds and game are most active.
To help deliver its performance, Bushnell employs anti-reflection multi-coatings on the lens elements with protective exterior coatings and the prisms are dielectric coated and phase-corrected. These coatings work together to maximize light transmission through the light path, resulting in bright, sharp, and clear high-contrast views with accurate color fidelity and crisp resolution, even in challenging conditions such as at dawn and dusk or when viewing across vast wide open spaces. To further improve the observational experience, the Engage is designed with a generous exit pupil and wide 64° apparent angle of view that help to minimize the distracting hand shake that is common when holding powerful optics.
Bushnell built the Engage to make it easy and comfortable to hold and allow it to withstand the harshest elements. Its design provides an ergonomic and balanced feel in the hand that also provides the strength and stability required of workhorse binoculars like these. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to an IPX7 rating so they are waterproof and resistant to internal fogging if the weather turns or they take an accidental spill in a stream or puddle. Protecting the optical components is a rubber armor outfitted with textured palm pads that provide a sure and secure grip. Given the high power and oversized objectives, some users may experience excessive hand shake or arm fatigue when holding the Engage for long periods, knowing this Bushnell outfitted the front of the bridge hinge with a threaded hole so the binocular can be tripod mounted using an optional adapter for easy hands-free use.
Optical Performance
Powerful 12x magnification enables detailed observations of distant subjects
Large 50mm objective lens provides the light gathering capacity required to keep views crisp and bright when viewing targets at extreme distances, and keeps views bright in challenging light conditions such as at dawn and dusk
Roof prism light path ensures the optical tubes remain as slim as possible for easier handling without affecting performance
BAK4 prism glass delivers a round exit pupil and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortion
PC3 phase-correcting prism coatings eliminate internal interference to improve color and contrast
Dielectric prism coatings boost light throughput to 92% for minimal loss and diffraction
Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics improve light transmission, contrast, and color fidelity
Proprietary EXO exterior lens coatings resist external fogging, scratches and abrasions while allowing oil, dirt, and sap to be cleaned off without leaving smudges or residue
Wide 64° apparent angle of view presents an immersive and panoramic observational experience with reduced appearance of the distracting hand-shake that is common when holding high-power optics
Spacious 280-foot field of view at 1000 yards
