Charlie MacFell is a mild mannered nice chap but a born loser. After being humiliated by a brutal father, he becomes trapped in an unhappy marriage. During the war the opportunity arrives for Charlie to prove himself as a soldier and consequentially he falls in love with his wife's younger sister.

Mistaken as the 'Special', the only surviving Master Builder, the rather ordinary Emmet (Pratt) is selected to lead a group of figures on a mission to put a stop to Lord Business's evil plan. Emmet is helped by wise wizard Vitruvius (Freeman), tough girl Wyldstyle (Banks) and DC superhero Batman (Arnett), but can he find something extraordinary within himself in order to save the world? The film also features the voices of Channing Tatum, Liam Neeson, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Jonah Hill. The film won a BAFTA for Best Animated Film and was nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars.

Gritty crime thriller, from director Stuart St Paul, about a group of Russian criminals operating a sex trade in the heart of Northern England. Led by the ruthless Cristi (Danny Midwinter), the gang kidnaps and traffics a group of Eastern Europeans to Leeds, forcing the men into illegal fighting and the women into the sex industry. When they capture local businessman Gabe Taylor (Billy Murray)'s daughter, however, things turn ugly, and it's a race against time to get her back alive in time for her wedding.
The first two series and the 2012 Christmas special of the BBC drama adapted from Jennifer Worth's memoirs about a group of midwives working in East London in the 1950s. Jenny Lee (Jessica Raine) gets her first job at Nonnatus House which she soon realises is a nursing convent and not a hospital, as she had assumed. In the Christmas special, the discovery of an abandoned baby on the convent's doorstep proves to be a catalyst as the community come together to try to trace the child's mother. Elsewhere, Jenny finds herself drawn into the mystery surrounding elderly local woman Mrs Jenkins (Sheila Reid), while Chummy is determined to stage an unforgettable nativity play. |
