During his adolescent years, Alberto witnessed events that not only
changed him, but changed the world: the bombings of a civilian
population, the withdrawal of German troops from Rome, and the
entrance of the American army that brought with it the end of a war
and the dawn of a new world. The themes of freedom lost, the
dignity of hard work, and family relationships are brought to life
through this fictionalized narrative of the small town of Artena.

que lo marcaron de por vida: los bombardeos de la poblacio n civil,
la salida de Roma de las tropas alemanas y la entrada del eje rcito
americano que trae el final de una guerra que abre las puertas a un

la libertad perdida, de la dignidad del trabajo y las relaciones
familiares.
