"Seraphim On Cusp Of Spring" is a collection of poems from the last
four years which examine true and unrequited love, man's place in
the Universe and the demise of a beloved mother in a variety of
forms the author has developed over the period of these writings.
The main focus of his love is Queen Muse who, as her name implies,
is the person who inspired the majority of these works. The forms
used in this book include a collection of new ideas I hope will
help revive the poetry scene of the world, which seems at times
almost moribund due to a lack of new ideas by which the eternal
truths of poetry might be realized. The love expressed both for
Queen Muse and my mother fuse in to an insight into the nature of
Absolute Love which can never be taken away or broken, even by
geographical distance or the all-encompassing reality of mortality.
These poems try to understand the essence of both life and reality
while maintaining a humor and an optimism that is increasingly
difficult to cultivate as the ideals of passion and devotion to
another seem more and more to be slipping away from the world.
"Seraphim" portrays the angels that keep the bliss of Earth alive
and, in many cases, thriving.
