John and Jane Smith are a couple who have been married for 6 years and things appear to be normal. But it appears that things are changing--they are seeing a marriage counselor. And what neither of them know is that they are professional assassins.

However, they are both assigned by their employers to kill the same person. When they each try to take out the target, they get in each other's way and blow the job. Now they are told to go after the person who made them miss the target. And when they learn about each other, they try to take each other out.

Review This Product

***SPOILER ALERT*** This is Hollywood excess at it's worst. The only reason why this movie made as much money as it did was because of the extra-marital affair between it's two leads. The idea was intriguing, of two assassins being married to each other, and not being aware of each other's deadly day job. But once the movie starts offering shoot-out after shoot-out, for the silliest of reasons, we are doomed. We never find out who their employers are, we never find out what the real plot of the film was (why were they both trying to take out the same target), and we never know why their respective employers went to all the hassle of sending scores of men to take them out. Especially men who can't shoot at all straight?! If the employers wanted John and Jane Smith out of the game, why not just get rid of them unexpectedly, instead of setting up some whole sham mission? The action scenes are too cartoonish (in one car-chase scene, gunmen are firing at Brangelina in the lead car, but they can't cause any major damage, but yet miss Jolie can do a 360 degree turn while firing a gun and cause both attacking cars to do "Michael Bay-type super flips"). And the pathetic ending has our "formidable duo" take on a small army in a department store. And our "heroes" never get a scratch on them while taking out multiple tartgets. And then the movie ends! What? Huh! This movie is strictly to be enjoyed only by those with low attention spans.
