Dark drama exploring the sadomasochistic relationship of a lesbian couple. Two entomologists indulge in elaborate role play where Cynthia (Sidse Babett Knudsen) harshly punishes the younger, innocent Evelyn (Chiara D'Anna) for all her misdemeanours. But their act is entirely fabricated with Evelyn in fact pulling the strings. As their relationship evolves over time, the limits of their bond are tested as previously novel acts grow old and Cynthia yearns for a more conventional partnership.
