Action adventure sequel which sees Chris Hemsworth reprise his role as the Marvel Comics superhero Thor, based on the mythical Norse God of Thunder.
Earth and the Nine Realms come under attack from the powerful Malekith and his age-old army that
have existed since even before the creation of the universe. With the enemy proving near impossible to defeat, Thor approaches his adoptive brother Loki for help, despite his villainous past.
Meanwhile, the hero becomes reacquainted with the woman he loves, astrophysicist Jane Foster, and
takes her to Asgard in an attempt to protect her from harm.

People don't give Marvel studios enough credit. The fact that they managed to make a character like Thor both interesting and relevant shows both their commitment to their characters and their understanding that sometimes movies of this nature need to be light and fun. This does not detract from the emotional scenes in the movie, which are truly moving and it does not mean the movie is only action and laughs. While the film itself is not perfect, it does make up for its flaws with an interestinf plot, interesting characters, unique character arcs and an ending that you will never see coming. Anyone who believes Chris Hemsworth doesn't inhabit the character of Thor is deluding themselves. But the stand out performance again comes from Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Hiddleston owns every scene that he is, and really makes a character you grew to hate in The Avengers become a likeable antihero. The 3D is really good and the film is fun and worth multiple watchers. Thor is like having a the perfect meal, it makes you feel slightly bloated, but the joy and happiness you get from it will keep you coming back for more.
