As you've correstly assumed from the title: this satisfyingly humorous sequel to Cats & Dogs is a deliberate spoof on the James Bond movie genre. Voices include those of Nick Nolte, Bette Midler, and Roger Moore (whose character is, in fact, "Tab Lazenby;" a dig at the Australian actor George Lazenby, who once – and once only – also played James Bond!)

Demented and revenge-driven Kitty Galore (Bette Midler) is hatching a plot to eliminate not only all the dogs in the world... but also humans, birds, and even other cats as well! Undisciplined German shepherd and former police dog Diggs (James Marsden) is recruited by Butch (Nick Nolte) to hunt down Kitty – if needs be, through Mr Tinkles (Sean Hayes); the villain of the first movie, and who now is now safely locked away on Alcatraz. Matters reach the stage, however, where both cats and dogs have to face up to the fact that for the first time ever, they are going to have to work together in order to foil Kitty's diabolical scheme; and Diggs befriends Catherine (Christina Applegate) who is an agent for M.E.O.W.S.

Then, there is a not-very-bright pigeon named Seamus (Katt Williams), who is being hunted by both Kitty's people and the Cat/Dog alliance force. Seamus, incidentally, proves to be the funniest character in the whole movie!

Yes, good does eventually triumph over evil... but the film ends with Mr Tinkles escaping from Alcatraz – thus leaving the door wide open to another sequel. Let's hope that it's not too long in coming!
