Robert Altman directs this musical drama starring David Arkin, Barbara Baxley and Ned Beatty. As a political rally gets underway in Nashville, the stories of the lives of 24 people are told including that of a gospel singer who cheats on her husband, a country and western singer who's running for governor, a waitress who dreams of being in the spotlight and a black singer who is trying to break into the predominantly white genre of country music.

Eureka Entertainment presents Robert Altman's "Nashville" (as part of the Masters of Cinema series). This is a three disc set (1 Blu-ray + 2 DVDs) which presents a new restoration of the film (the same one used by the Criterion Collection). There's a booklet in the set (with an essay) as well as a few interviews with Altman, Michael Murphy, and the screenwriter. An Audio Commentary as well as the trailer are included. I guess, with regards to extras, it is somewhat underwhelming but it is still GREAT set as well as a great American film classic. Highly recommended
