Not as extreme as its reputation would suggest but still good.

An interesting watch this early 1970's film turned out to be. I didn't think it was as extreme as people made it out to be but then again it did come out in the early 70's. What was extreme then is tame today. The film moves at a slow pace, which I found refreshing considering the sometime rapid fire pacing of today's films. Donald Pleasance is likable as the obnoxiously sarcastic detective who must investigate the disappearance of a wealthy business man in the London Subway. Former Dracula star Christopher Lee makes a cameo appearance.
I would recommend it to any 70's era film enthusiast. Although, it might also play well with the casual film viewer keeping in mind it is slow paced. In that regard, if you happen to be in the mood for something slower but still interesting and don't mind a few moments some would still consider shocking, Death Line certainly won't waste your time.
