Avoid the Shortcut (DVD)

Horror in which a group of high school kids get more than they bargained for when they begin investigating a local myth about a hermit who attacks anyone who invades his territory. Derek (Drew Seeley) and his troubled brother, Tobey (Nicholas Elia), have only recently moved to a new town and school when they learn about the danger of taking a local shortcut. When Tobey returns battered and bruised from the area, the brothers quickly learn about the violent history of the old man (Raymond J. Barry) who lives there. Along with Derek's school friends, Lisa (Shannon Woodward), Mark (Dave Franco) and Christy (Katrina Bowden), the brothers set out to investigate. Will they get to the bottom of the mystery or will it prove their undoing?
