Ivor Bolton conducts this performance of Wagner's comic opera starring Christopher Maltman and Peter Lodahl in the lead roles. Based on Shakespeare's 'Measure for Measure', the opera was poorly received during Wagner's lifetime, with just one performance to its name. Here, Bolton, with the Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro Real de Madrid, stage the opera in all its glory. The cast includes Ilker Arcayurek in the role of Claudio, David Alegret as Antonio and Manuela Uhl as Isabella.
