James Erskine directs this feature documentary about the Italian
cyclist Marco Pantani. In 1998 Pantani won the Tour de France and
the Giro d'Italia, a remarkable accomplishment which has not been
achieved by any cyclist since. Such great success also came with
mounting pressure, however, and when he was disqualified from the
Giro a year later Pantani began taking cocaine. In 2004, at the age
of 34, he was found dead in a hotel room. The film chronicles the
road racer's success and his untimely fall.
