This is the perfect animation film for the whole family to enjoy. As is the case with most animated features these days, alot of the jokes and innuendos will fly over the heads of the young ones, but they'll still find much to enjoy, In this tale, worker bee Barry Benson discovers that humans are making money by selling honey, and he proceeds to sue the human race, falling in love along the way.

The animation is of the highest quality I have ever seen and the inspired casting of Jerry Seinfeld is a pure masterstroke. He brings his persona to the fore, and you find it hard to stop laughing whenever he makes a scathing wisecrack. Cameos from Chris Rock and Ray Liotta are utterly hilarious, and Renee Zellweger as the human love interest has just the right amount of sweetness required for her role. Definitely one for parents and kids alike. (4 out of 5, by Carlisle Johnson)

Take a close look at the world through the eyes of one bee in particular - Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld). A recent college graduate, Barry wants more out of life than the inevitable career that awaits him and every other worker in New Hive City - a job at Honex... making honey.

Barry jumps at the chance to venture out of the hive, and soon encounters a world beyond his wildest dreams. When Barry inadvertently meets a quirky florist named Vanessa (Renee Zellweger), he breaks one of the cardinal rules of beedom - he talks to her. A friendship soon develops, and Barry gets a guided crash course in the ways of the human race.

When he shockingly discovers that anyone can purchase honey right off the grocery store shelf, he realizes that his true calling is to stop the injustice and set the world right by suing the human race for stealing the bees' precious honey.

A really cute animated movie to be enjoyed by everyone. The kids will love the characters and the story (with the strong message of “one little guy CAN make all the difference!”) though much of the humour is left for the adults to pick up. And you’d better be sharp about it too; the remarks – many with references – come fast and furious…and are very funny indeed! Welcome to the world of bees! Barry (Seinfeld) and Adam (Broderick) have just graduated, and must now select a lifetime job within the bee community. When Barry is saved from certain death by Vanessa – a human – he breaks an ancient bee law by speaking to her and thanking her for what she has just done! He then sues the human race for stealing the honey that the bees work hard to make…and despite the efforts of defense attorney L T Montgomery (John Goodman,) he wins his case! This, state of affairs, however, throws nature out of kilter – as there is no longer any need for the bees to work…and the flowers start to die through lack of pollination! But Barry isn’t through yet. After all, his beloved Vanessa IS a florist…

The other review of this movie has spoilt the "how" , by giving away the "what" that happens...that is just not right
