This “fun” action-adventure movie is delightfully close to the comic-book story of the mid-1960s that inspired it. Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) and Sue Storm (Jessica Alba) are about to get married when a strange silver UFO enters Earth’s atmosphere. The cosmic energy it radiates causes weather patterns to change, and deep craters occur right around the world. It also frees the evil Dr Victor Van Doom from two years of being a metal statue.
Sue’s brother Johnny, the Human Torch (Chris Evans) chases the thing after it has caused major disruption to New York City. Reed, meanwhile, investigates and discovers that a series of planets the alien had visited before Earth have all been destroyed.
Needless to say, the wedding is put on hold yet again…as Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and The Thing (Michael Chiklis) prepare to do battle.
The voice of the Silver Surfer is that of Laurence Fishburne, while The Fantastic four’s creator, Stan Lee, appears very briefly in a cameo role…as himself!
Marvel’s first family of superheroes,The Fantastic Four, meets their greatest challenge yet in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer as the enigmatic, intergalactic herald, The Silver Surfer, comes to to earth to prepare it for destruction. As the Silver Surfer races around the globe wreaking havoc, Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben must unravel the mystery of the Silver Surfer and confront the surprising return of their mortal enemy, Dr. Doom, before all hope is lost.

This is an excellent movie to just relax with, but also indicates that everyone has the decision to decide between right and wrong.

I own both on blu ray. Worth the money to have this in one's collection.
