Two boys on their way to college find themselves charged with murder in Hicksville, Alabama. One of the boys has a cousin, Vinny (Joe Pesci), who recently qualified as a lawyer, and he is persuaded to plead their case. Unfortunately, Vinny does not know anything about court procedure and gets the boys into even deeper water. Can his girlfriend Mona (Marisa Tomei) manage to save the day?
