Documentary from director Tony Palmer on the life and work of
English composer Gustav Holst. Born Gustavus Theodor von Holst in
1874, the composer led a colourful life in which he wrote nearly
200 works, his most famous of which being the orchestral suite,
'The Planets'. With contributions from the likes of Katherine
Jenkins, Barbara Dickson and Troy Donockley, along with the
Gloucester Cathedral Choir, the programme chronicles all aspects of
the musician's life.
