Dexter is back, and in this third season he seems to have found an ally in an unlikely source - the Assistant District Attorney. Also, there's a a new killer on the loose in Miami, and he goes by the nickname the "Skinner", and the reasoning behind the name soon becomes evident.
Debra Morgan is also trying her best to crack the "Skinner" case, even while she's jeopardizing leads and offending fellow officers in the process. Angel and Maria are featured more prominently this season, and even Mazuka gets more screen time, and his humour and offensive comments are a welcome addition to the morbidity of the show sometimes.
The season progresses just fine, but it still feels like something is missing at times. The conclusion in the final 2 episodes worked out a bit too easily for my liking and there's no real cliffhanger moment. Still, it's an entertaining season, although the scene is now set for the critically-acclaimed and award-winning fourth season. (4 out of 5, by Carlisle Johnson)
