Jon Brewer directs this documentary exploring the life and legacy
of the late musician Nat King Cole. Cole initially came to
prominence as a jazz pianist and garnered acclaim for his iconic
singing voice and soft delivery. However, as one of the most
prominent African-American cultural figures during a period of
racial turmoil in the USA, Cole would have to face and overcome a
great deal of prejudice. The documentary includes interviews with
Nat's widow Maria Cole, several of his musical contemporaries and
previously unseen archive footage.
