Highlights from the 2009 World Superbike Championship. As the
season got underway, all eyes were on Ducati's Nori Haga to deliver
that long-awaited first championship title. However, US star Ben
Spies was out to spoil the party in his debut season. Spies took
his Yamaha R1 to a string of victories to ensure his battle with
Haga would remain on a knife-edge as the pair left the rest of the
field standing.
