This is just a passive riser that lifts your notebook computer off the table so it can breathe a little. It is extremely light, and looks pretty good too. It caters for up to a 15" laptop, so, it is rather large when you first see it. But, it works a charm. I suggest this one, since a actively cooled riser are often equipped with Super Cheap fans that go bad and start making a racket. Or they just fail. So, this one cannot fail in that sense. But, while it is fine holding up your machine, I cannot imagine it will like being pressed down on, or sat on. Highly recommended.
