Despite appearances to the contrary, the two genteel ladies will stop at nothing to bolster their position amongst their community's elite. The second series sees Lucia continue to outwit her 'friend' Mapp, aided and abetted by the toupéd Georgie Pillson (Nigel Hawthorne), in the following episodes: 'The Winner Takes It All'; 'Change and Change About'; 'Lady Bountiful'; 'Worship'; and 'Au Revoir'.
