Collection of three children's movies. 'The Sandlot Kids' (1994) is
set in Salt Lake City in 1962 and tells the story of the friendship
between two twelve-year old boys, Scotty (Tom Guiry) and Benny
(Mike Vitar). Scotty and his family move to town and Scotty,
although useless at baseball, manages to get a place with a game
played in a sandlot out the back of his house, thanks to the
engineering of a catch by the team's best player, Benny. As the
summer progresses the two boys become good friends while having
occasional adventures with the next-door neighbour's terrifying dog
- The Beast. 'The Sandlot Kids 2' (2005) is set ten years after the
original story and the local dirt field is now 'home' to a new
group of neighbourhood kids who get together to share laughs, show
off, and play baseball. Yet the gang faces its toughest challenge
yet as the kids try to retrieve an irreplaceable model rocket that
has landed in the junkyard behind left field - a forbidden
territory guarded by the legendary slobbering beast known as 'The
Great Fear'. Finally, in 'The Sandlot 3' (2007), Tommy Santorelli
(Luke Perry) is a gifted but arrogant Major League baseball player.
When he is knocked out by a stray pitch, he wakes up and finds
himself a 12-year-old in 1976 on his childhood playing field. When
Earl Needman (Paul Garrett), a greedy developer, threatens to
bulldoze the sandlot unless Tommy's friends can beat Needman's far
better side, Tommy must decide whether to switch teams or stay with
his friends and lead them to their greatest ever victory.
