Avant-garde British filmmaker Patrick Keiller directs this
experimental pseudo-documentary, which takes the viewer on a visual
and intellectual pilgrimage through the various landscapes of
modern England. Narrated by Vanessa Redgrave, the film juxtaposes
unusual combinations of words and images to explore themes of
nature, time, politics, history and economics, with particular
focus on the financial crisis of the late 2000s.
