Wilfrid Scawen Blunt was a British diplomat and poet, who fought
the case for Egyptian and Irish nationalism. A great admirer of
Islam, the author's classic text from the 1880s predicts many of
the divisions that affect the world, and speaks of what must happen
if the world is to ever be a peaceful one.
