Senegalese superstar Youssou N'Dour and Tunisian-born pianist
Moncef Genoud take their music on a journey beginning in New
Orleans and ending in Goree in Senegal. Travelling, in reverse, the
route taken by the millions of slaves exported from West Africa to
the Americas, N'Dour uncovers a musical legacy, which has had an
enormous influence on the music of today. Director Pierre-Yves
Borgeaud's film climaxes with a final concert in Goree.
