DIY installation just plug the AC cord into the Eskom powered plug and connect the DC leads to the battery terminals (Red to the + Positive terminal and Black to the - Negative terminal. Features:

When Eskom power is on, the inverter uses Eskom power, and the smart charger will charge and maintain the battery. When Eskom power is off, the inverter will automatically transfer to battery power (15ms) and will supply 220Vac until the drawdown depletes the battery to 11Vdc.
When Eskom Power is off the automatic switch (without delay or interruption 10ms) switches to battery inverter power UPS
TBD 500w UPS function is a modified sine wave inverter that converts DC power to AC power for appliances, solar devices, and telecommunication equipment when there is no Eskom power. Its' high-speed built-in battery smart charger helps convert grid power into DC power for charging the batteries with the built-in 8 Amp smart charger; It works together with deep cycle batteries to provide uninterrupted power for a load of up to 500 watts (830va) continuous use with a peak load of 1000w. Its' output via a South African plug plus a low voltage USB 5v socket. Short circuit protection is added to its' standard design. The cool casing and inner fan also help improve performance.
