This book presents the history, fundamentals, process development,
applications, post-processing, and experimental results from
additive manufacturing. The chapters cover surface treatments,

processing and surface engineering techniques.
This small book is a manifesto for fuel competition and explains
clearly why enough cars on our roads capable of burning multiple
fuels will change the world. Fuel competition will not only help
the United States improve its economic vitality, its national
security, and its environmental health, it will also reduce
pollution, help small farmers in developing nations rise out of
poverty, and end the repression of women in OPEC nations. In this
book you will find out how the problem got started and what YOU can
do to help solve it. We have been the victims of oil's destructive
monopoly long enough. Join the fuel competition revolution,
starting right now with your own car.
While it's true that sometimes you are naturally motivated,
especially immediately after deciding on a goal, it is also true
that you can cultivate motivation or let it do what it naturally
does most of the time: fade. Motivation is a tremendous power. A
highly motivated person can accomplish seemingly impossible things.
In this tiny book, you will learn how to stoke your inner fire, to
get and keep your motivation burning white hot. This not only makes
you more capable of accomplishment, but it makes life more fun.
Would you like to see what you are really capable of? Intense
motivation can unleash it.
See Her Smile is a book for men about how you can do something you
really want to do: Make her happy more often without compromising
your integrity, without being phony, and without being any less of
a man.
This slim volume describes some of the experiments on gender
differences, including some interesting differences in brain
structure, and how those differences affect what we're interested
in, how we talk to each other, and our emotional reactions.
Understanding the differences between the sexes, and understanding
that many of them are built-in and unchangeable, can help us have
closer, stronger relationships.
This very small book is Ralph Waldo Emerson's essay, Self-Reliance,
translated into modern English by me, Adam Khan. When I tell people
about translating Emerson, the first thing people always ask me is,
"Why would his work need to be 'translated?' After all, he lived a
fairly short time ago and he spoke English." I've found when I
share quotes from Emerson, it becomes clear why a translation might
be helpful. For example, this is from the original Self-Reliance:
"As soon as he has once acted or spoken with eclat he is a
committed person, watched by the sympathy or the hatred of
hundreds, whose affections must now enter into his account. There
is no Lethe for this. Ah, that he could pass again into his
neutral, godlike independence Who can thus lose all pledge and,
having observed, observe again from the same unaffected, unbiased,
unbribable, unaffrighted innocence, must always be formidable, must
always engage the poet's and the man's regards." I enjoy Emerson's
prose. But it took some time and I had to look up a few words
before I really understood what he was saying in that paragraph. My
little "translation" is just something that helps. Hopefully, when
you're done, you can go back and read Emerson's original essay and
understand it better.
Whenever a setback occurs, you automatically explain it to
yourself. And you explain setbacks in a particular way. Most of us
never even think about the way we've learned to explain setbacks,
but the way we do it has tremendous consequences in our lives. This
short book will show you how to improve your explanations to get
the most out of life.
