Farmers Field School (FFS) is a participatory based learning
started in 1988- 89 in Indonesia and by time spread all over the
world for capacity building of farming community. From the last
decade, both Pakistani government and private sector are investing
a lot on farmer's education, developing their skills, enhancing
their knowledge and solving their problems by themselves through
FFS which ultimately leads towards agricultural development in the
country. Many studies were conducted on FFS but evaluation was not
conducted. Therefore; the study was conducted to evaluate the role
of FFS approach in dissemination of advance agricultural technology
among the farming community of tehsil Rawalpindi. On the bases of
this study the conclusion were drawn and recommendations were made.
Decentralization in Pakistan being implemented in August 14, 2001.
The system lasts almost 9 years in the country and it is the need
to analyze decentralized extension services in the country along
with other disciplines. Through this work, authors tries to attempt
to look into the matter in agricultural extension context. After
reading this work reader may develop a deep insight towards
decentralization
The book and work conducted will help the students, researchers and
other experts working in the field of agriculture extension and
social sciences.this work will give them a deep knowledge related
to devolution and decentralization of agriculture extension and
activities. This work will also help those extensionist working in
developed, developing and under developed countries of the world
especially countries like Afghanistan, Nepal, Uganda Pakistan etc
