Barry Levinson directs this found footage horror in which a trainee journalist captures the chaos that afflicts a small US town when an infection breaks out that appears to stem from the water system. The illness produces symptoms such as vomiting, skin rashes and internal bleeding and spreads with such devastating swiftness that the town, Chesapeake Bay, is swiftly quarantined and its hospitals overrun. Among the human stories documented by young journalist Donna Thompson (Kether Donohue) on her news camera are the efforts of Dr Jack Abrams (Stephen Kunken) to track down the source of the virus while also attempting to treat it and the horrifying discoveries that await police officers Jimson (Michael Beasley) and Paul (Jody Thompson) as they respond to 911 calls. However, has the worst consequence of the outbreak yet to make itself known?

Collection of four films starring Robin Williams. In 'Mrs. Doubtfire' (1993), Williams stars as difficult actor and husband Daniel Hillard who separates acrimoniously from his wife (Sally Field) and receives a court order limiting his visits to his children. As a result he dresses up as a Scottish nanny and gets employment with his ex-wife looking after his own kids. In 'Toys' (1992), when a benevolent toymaker dies he leaves his factory in the care of his army general brother (Michael Gambon), until his son Leslie (Williams) is mature enough to assume control. The General, however, re-structures the factory, and in a break with tradition begins to manufacture war toys, many of which, Leslie discovers, are more than playthings. 'Night at the Museum' (2006) stars Williams alongside Ben Stiller, Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke. Larry Daley (Stiller) is a kind-hearted dreamer who always knew that he was destined for greatness; he just never quite knew how. None of his ideas or inventions have panned out so, with a heavy heart, he takes a regular job as a lowly graveyard-shift security guard at the Museum of Natural History in order to provide a more stable life for himself and his ten-year-old son, Nick (Jake Cherry). On his first night on the job, however, he finds that guardianship of the museum is far from stable. At nightfall an Egyptian spell brings the artefacts and wax figures to life and with Attila the Hun (Patrick Gallagher) declaring war through the hallways, Larry turns to a wax replica of President Roosevelt (Williams) for a little advice on keeping things in order. In the sequel, 'Night at the Museum 2' (2009), Stiller reprises his role as Larry Daley, the hapless security guard who encounters living and breathing museum exhibits. This time round, the Museum of Natural History has been closed for renovations, and the museum pieces moved into federal storage at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, where the collection includes artefacts associated with many of the great figures of American history including Theodore Roosevelt (Williams), Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams), General Custer (Bill Hader) and Al Capone (Jon Bernthal). Larry must infiltrate the museum's tight security to rescue Jedediah (Owen Wilson) and Octavius (Steve Coogan) who have been shipped there by mistake.

Cruise back to Baltimore, 1963, to the time and turf of a rare American breed: the "Tin Man" (aluminum siding salesman). Two less-than-honest rivals in the tin game meet in a fender bender, but their bruised egos and quick tempers turn the minor accident into a major vendetta against each other's symbols of success - their prized Cadillacs.

In what would seem to be a coup de grace, Dreyfuss decides to seduce DeVito's neglected wife, but this romantic manoeuvre causes non-stop twists and turns to both the heart and the funnybone.

With a supporting cast that's absolutely classic, and music by The Fine Young Cannibals, Tin Men sounds as good as it looks!

To four boys growing up on the streets in the mid 1960s, Hell's Kitchen was a place of innocence ruled by corruption. The infamous New York City neighbourhood that stretched north from 34th to 56th Street and pushed west from the 8th Avenue to the Hudson River was guided by both priests and gangsters.

The children who grew up there shared joyful times, but subscribed to a sacred social code - crimes against the neighbourhood were not permitted, and when they did occur, punishment was severe.

Four friends made a mistake that changed their lives forever...

Flickering Treasures - Rediscovering Baltimore's Forgotten Movie Theaters (Hardcover): Amy Davis Flickering Treasures - Rediscovering Baltimore's Forgotten Movie Theaters (Hardcover)

Baltimore has been home to hundreds of theaters since the first moving pictures flickered across muslin sheets. These monuments to popular culture, adorned with grandiose architectural flourishes, seemed an everlasting part of Baltimore's landscape. By 1950, when the city's population peaked, Baltimore's movie fans could choose from among 119 theaters. But by 2016, the number of cinemas had dwindled to only three. Today, many of the city's theaters are boarded up, even burned out, while others hang on with varying degrees of dignity as churches or stores. In Flickering Treasures, Amy Davis, an award-winning photojournalist for the Baltimore Sun, pairs vintage black-and-white images of opulent downtown movie palaces and modest neighborhood theaters with her own contemporary full-color photographs, inviting us to imagine Charm City's past as we confront today's neglected urban landscape. Punctuated by engaging stories and interviews with local moviegoers, theater owners, ushers, and cashiers, plus commentary from celebrated Baltimore filmmakers Barry Levinson and John Waters, the book brings each theater and decade vividly to life. From Electric Park, the Century, and the Hippodrome to the Royal, the Parkway, the Senator, and scores of other beloved venues, the book delves into Baltimore's history, including its troubling legacy of racial segregation. The descriptions of the technological and cultural changes that have shaped both American cities and the business of movie exhibition will trigger affectionate memories for many readers. A map and timeline reveal the one-time presence of movie houses in every corner of the city, and fact boxes include the years of operation, address, architect, and seating capacity for each of the 72 theaters profiled, along with a brief description of each theater's distinct character. Highlighting the emotional resonance of film and the loyalty of Baltimoreans to their neighborhoods, Flickering Treasures is a profound story of change, loss, and rebirth.

With his injuries beyond repair, Eastern doctors choose to rebuild the damaged parts of his body with metallic plating before sending him home. When he arrives back in the States, Martino's appearance is received with immediate suspicion as the government wonder whether he is in fact the real Lucas Martino or a Soviet spy sent to gain access to the real doctor's work. He is interrogated intensely by Agent Sean Rogers (Elliot Gould), who is given the job of proving or disproving the man's identity. Will political paranoia win over Martino's claims of honest intent?

Baltimore 1959, and a gang of male friends in their early twenties reconvene for the wedding of their pal Eddie. Boogie is the hustler of the group, a trainee hairdresser mired in gambling debts. Shreevie is the elder statesman, already married (albeit tetchily) to Beth. Fenwick is the reckless trust-fund prankster; Modell the straight-faced jester; Billy the thoughtful intellectual. The sole obstacle barring Eddie's marriage is that he has decreed that his fiancee Elyse must first pass a taxing quiz on pro-football trivia; and there's the rub. On the threshold of adulthood, the guys remain happiest hanging out together in the neighbourhood diner, feasting on sodas and French fries in gravy, shooting the breeze about pop records, first dates and schoolboy pranks. Maturity, responsibility and real red-blooded women are the challenges they truly fear. Like the other two entries in Barry Levinson's 'Baltimore trilogy' (Tin Men and Avalon), Diner is a satisfyingly literary creation, free of plot points or grandstanding resolutions. People just talk; true-life characters and situations are lovingly and wittily evoked. Diner is the original 'guys together' picture, a template for future hits such as Swingers.

Breaking onto the scene in 1982 with Diner, which was hailed by one critic as a masterpiece of observation, Academy Award-winner Barry Levinson has since become recognized as one of the preeminent writer/directors of our time. Diner was set in Levinson's native Baltimore, during the late 1950s of his youth, and is, as Pauline Kael wrote in the New Yorker, "that rare autobiographical movie made by someone who knows how to get the texture right...".With Tin Men Levinson returned to richly detailed middle class milieu of Baltimore and introduced another group of characters -- the "tin men" who make their living hard-selling aluminum siding to unsuspecting homeowners...In Avalon Levinson continues his cycle of Baltimore stories.
