Double bill of supernatural horrors based on the novel by Susan Hill. In 'The Woman in Black' (2012), Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) leaves his son (Misha Handley) behind in London to head off on an assignment to a remote village, but has little idea of what lies in store for him. Once there, Arthur discovers that the locals live in such fear of a mysterious figure known as the 'Woman in Black' that they keep their children locked away indoors, afraid that contact with the woman would harm them. Arthur's investigations lead him to believe that the woman is a ghost, haunted by her inability to save her son from drowning. When she turns her attention towards Arthur's own son, the lawyer is forced to confront the spectre head on. In the sequel 'The Woman in Black: Angel of Death' (2014), set 40-years later, a group of schoolchildren are evacuated from London during the blitz, accompanied by their young teacher Eve Parkins (Phoebe Fox). When the group arrives in the idyllic English countryside, they soon learn of the dark spirit that has long lain dormant in the Eel Marsh House. One by one the children begin to demonstrate strange behaviour and unexplainable happenings occur in their isolated home. Will Eve, with the help of the military, be strong enough to repel the ghostly woman bent on destruction and revenge for the loss of her son?

Polar opposites both on and off the track, the rancour between dashing, devil-may-care British playboy Hunt and the efficient and cool Austrian Lauda knows no bounds as the two battle it out to be the 1976 Formula 1 World Champion. But when a horrifying crash at Germany's Nürburgring leaves Lauda badly burned and scarred, his miraculous return to the track in just six weeks earns the grudging respect of Hunt, in the process setting up a climactic end to the season as both drivers pursue the ultimate prize.

HOW (NOT) TO WRITE A HIT SONG - 101 COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID IF YOU WANT SONGWRITING SUCCESS takes a close look at the essential elements consistently found in the structure, melodies and lyrics of all hit songs. The book highlights and analyzes the most common errors that are made when these key components are built into a song-so that new writers can try to avoid such mistakes in their own songs. Most writers have, at some stage, had to endure the disappointment of having songs rejected by music publishers or record companies-and ended up asking themselves: "Could I have done more to make my songs better?." This book aims to help writers recognise any weaknesses in their songs, so that they can re-work them, make them stronger, and hopefully achieve the breakthrough that they're seeking. The music industry has been going through major changes in recent years. It is now a 'singles market' again. As a result, there are now even greater opportunities for new writers who are capable of crafting potential hit songs with memorable melodies and lyrics. But competition is intense. So it's more important than ever for writers to make sure their songs stand out from the pack by avoiding the traps and pitfalls that many inexperienced songwriters fall into. Written in an easy, non-technical style, the book identifies many frequent causes of songwriting problems-from common mistakes in basic song structure ... to having the wrong mental attitude and an unsatisfactory songwriting environment. From getting the blend of core ingredients wrong ... to flawed choices when it comes to titles, melodies, lyrics, hooks, choruses, intros, bridges, pre-choruses-and even the song demo itself. The book's author, Brian Oliver-an experienced music publisher, songwriter and music consultant-warns that aspiring writers' chances of success could be hampered if they fail to spend enough time polishing their songs and eradicating weaknesses in their songwriting. That's why this book sets out to help new writers develop their own unique writing style while avoiding fundamental errors at each key stage in the song development process. It includes important tips on fixing and strengthening songs, along with a detailed checklist of 101 common mistakes that writers can measure their own songs against-no matter how 'finished' they think their songs are.

Modern DNA microarray technologies have evolved over the past 25 years to the point where it is now possible to take many million measurements from a single experiment. These two volumes, Parts A & B in the Methods in Enzymology series provide methods that will shepard any molecular biologist through the process of planning, performing, and publishing microarray results.
Part A starts with an overview of a number of microarray platforms, both commercial and academically produced and includes wet bench protocols for performing traditional expression analysis and derivative techniques such as detection of transcription factor occupancy and chromatin status. Wet-bench protocols and troubleshooting techniques continue into Part B. These techniques are well rooted in traditional molecular biology and while they require traditional care, a researcher that can reproducibly generate beautiful Northern or Southern blots should have no difficulty generating beautiful array hybridizations.
Data management is a more recent problem for most biologists. The bulk of Part B provides a range of techniques for data handling. This includes critical issues, from normalization within and between arrays, to uploading your results to the public repositories for array data, and how to integrate data from multiple sources. There are chapters in Part B for both the debutant and the expert bioinformatician.
- Provides an overview of platforms
- Includes experimental design and wet bench protocols
- Presents statistical and data analysis methods, array databases, data visualization and meta analysis
