He's ingenious, he's phobic, he's obsessive-compulsive. Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Tony Shalhoub is a riot in Monk, the show that critics are praising as fresh, exciting and utterly original.
Monk's hilarious, offbeat antics have made him unfit for duty but he's back as a police consultant to help out on their most baffling cases. The brilliant but neurotic Monk is now fighting crime as well as his abnormal fears of germs, cars, heights, crowds and virtually everything else known to man in the best detective show to come along in decades.
Nothing on TV generated more fun than this and now you can enjoy the entire first season of Monk on DVD.

The opening of the `Sensation' exhibition at the Royal Academy in the late 1990s caused a public furore and a media frenzy, with both broadsheet and tabloid journalists falling over themselves to comment on the show's controversial images, and unprecedented crowds queuing up to see for themselves what all the fuss was about. This catalogue of that seminal exhibition features the work of over forty artists including Turner prize winners Damien Hirst, Gillian Wearing and Rachel Whiteread, as well as penetrating essays by Norman Rosenthal, Lisa Jardine, critics Richard Shone and Brook Adams and painter and critic Martin Maloney, who survey a decade of creative explosion. This special edition of the book that rocked the art world, features a new jacket created by Mark Wallinger.
The TSR2 is one of the greatest 'what-if' aircraft of the Cold War, whose cancellation still generates anger and controversy among aviation fans. It was a magnificent, cutting-edge aircraft, one of the most striking of the Cold War, but fell victim to cost overruns, overambitious requirements, and politics. Its scrapping marked the point when Britain's aerospace industry could no longer build world-class aircraft independently. After the demise of TSR2 the RAF's future jets would be modified US aircraft like the Phantom and pan-European collaborations like Tornado and Typhoon. In this book the eminent air power analyst and ex-Vulcan bomber pilot Andrew Brookes takes a fresh, hard-headed look at the TSR2 project, telling the story of its development, short career and cancellation, and evaluating how it would have performed in Cold War strike roles as well as in the recent wars in the Middle East.
