Double bill featuring movies that focus on America's recent involvement in foreign countries. In 'The Kingdom' (2007), when a terrorist bomb detonates inside a Western housing compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an international incident is ignited. While diplomats slowly debate equations of territorialism, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx) quickly assembles an elite team and negotiates a secret five-day trip into Saudi Arabia to locate the madman behind the bombing. Upon landing in the desert kingdom, however, Fleury and his team discover Saudi authorities suspicious and unwelcoming of American interlopers into what they consider a local matter. Hamstrung by protocol, and with the clock ticking on their five days, the FBI agents find their expertise worthless without the trust of their Saudi counterparts who want to locate the terrorist in their homeland on their own terms. Fleury's crew finds a like-minded partner in Saudi Police Captain Al-Ghazi (Ashraf Barhom), who helps them navigate royal politics and unlock the secrets of the crime scene and the workings of an extremist, hell bent on further destruction. 'Jarhead' (2006) is an adaptation of former Marine Anthony Swofford's Gulf War memoir. Young recruit Swofford (Jake Gyllenhaal) joins up with the US Marines (nicknamed 'Jarheads' because of their distinctive haircuts) on the eve of the 1990 Gulf War. After a brutal spell in boot camp, during which Swofford and his fellow recruits are systematically geared up for the conflict, the Marines are dispatched to the deserts of the Persian Gulf to take part in a war that sees them required to do very little in the way of fighting. Bored and frustrated in the middle of nowhere, the young soldiers resort to a macabre sense of humour as they wait for the war to happen to them.

The film received an Academy Award for Best Original Song for 'Man Or Muppet'. In 'Muppet Treasure Island' (1996), based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale, the Muppets take to the high seas. Jim Hawkins (Kevin Bishop) and his friends, Gonzo (voice of Dave Goelz) and Rizzo (voice of Whitmire), head out in search of hidden treasure after they are given a map of a secret island by dying seaman Billy Bones (Billy Connolly). Frank Baum, Dorothy Gale (Ashanti) is a teenager with dreams of showbiz that seem far from coming true in the Kansas trailer park where she lives. All five films in the espionage thriller franchise based on the novels by Robert Ludlum. In 'The Bourne Identity' (2002), CIA assassin Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is pulled out of the Mediterranean by fishermen, badly wounded and suffering from amnesia. Unable to recall either who he is or what has happened to him, his only clue to his identity is the number of a Swiss bank account which has been etched into a device implanted in his body. Following the lead to Zurich, he discovers money, passports and a gun waiting for him, but also earns the attention of the security services and has to leave in a hurry. He then persuades a young woman named Marie Kreutz (Franka Potente) to drive him to Paris, where he hopes to find out his true identity and discover the reason why the CIA are taking such an interest in him. In 'The Bourne Supremacy' (2004), Bourne has left his violent past behind him and is living a normal life with girlfriend Marie under an assumed name. But his plans for a peaceful existence are crushed when he narrowly escapes an assassination attempt. Now hunted by an unknown enemy, Bourne must prove that he is not an easy target. In 'The Bourne Ultimatum' (2007), Bourne races to uncover the dark mysteries of his past while a government agent is hot on his trail following a shootout in Moscow. 'The Bourne Legacy' (2012) moves away from the central Bourne character to focus on a new protagonist, CIA operative Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner). The film, which takes up events where 'The Bourne Ultimatum' left off, sees Cross making the vow to give himself over completely to 'the operation', quickly proving himself to be the shining star in a new generation of deadly undercover assassins. Finally, in 'Jason Bourne' (2016), Matt Damon returns to star as the deadly CIA assassin. After spending years off the grid, the former agent unexpectedly emerges from the shadows in search of more answers surrounding his hazy past. Meanwhile, new CIA Director Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones) is dealing with the fallout following a major cyber attack, and authorises a new program to hunt down Bourne after he shows up on agency surveillance systems.

When Tyler strikes up a relationship with fellow student Ally (Emilie de Ravin), who has also undergone a family bereavement, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. However, the young couple's budding relationship is overshadowed not only by the strain of past losses, but by the protective instincts of Ally's police officer father, Neil (Chris Cooper), who sees the rebellious Tyler as a good-for-nothing troublemaker. 'The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud' (2010) starrs Zac Efron as the young sailor, Charlie St. Cloud. Charlie has the opportunity to go to Standford University but when his younger brother, Sam (Charlie Tahan), dies in a car accident, he is left reconsidering his future. When he realises he can see and communicate with Sam, Charlie determines to take a job as a cemetery caretaker instead of going to university. The two brothers meet every night but the return of Tess (Amanda Crew), a sailor who went to school with Charlie, causes a divide between the brothers. When Charlie learns Tess's life is in danger, he has to choose between keeping a promise to his deceased brother in the afterlife and saving Tess in the real world.
