Blockbuster movie adaptation of the Marvel comic strip. When high-school student Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is bitten by a genetically-altered spider while on a visit to a scientific institute, he soon begins to experience unusual side-effects - such as increased strength, enhanced wall-climbing skills, and the ability to spin webs out of his wrists. Peter first attempts to make use of these skills to impress girl-next-door Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst), but after his Uncle Ben is killed in an armed robbery, he is compelled to work for the greater good and reinvents himself as Spider-Man, the enemy of criminals everywhere. Meanwhile, arms manufacturer Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoe) transforms himself into the Green Goblin, begins to terrorize the city, and lays down the gauntlet to Spider-Man by abducting his beloved Mary Jane.

The astonishing debut novel by the screenwriter of Jurassic Park: a wild and terrifying adventure about three strangers who must work together to contain a highly contagious, deadly organism. When Pentagon bioterror operative Roberto Diaz was sent to investigate a suspected biochemical attack, he found something far worse: a highly mutative organism capable of extinction-level destruction. He contained it and buried it in cold storage deep beneath a little-used military repository. Now, after decades of festering in a forgotten sub-basement, the specimen has found its way out and is on a lethal feeding frenzy. Only Diaz knows how to stop it. He races across the country to help two unwitting security guards -one an ex-con, the other a single mother. Over one harrowing night, the unlikely trio must figure out how to quarantine this horror again. All they have is luck, fearlessness, and a mordant sense of humour. Will that be enough to save all of humanity? PRAISE FOR COLD STORAGE `To be simultaneously terrifying and hilarious is a masterstroke few writers can pull off, but Koepp manages in this incredible fiction debut that calls to mind a beautiful hybrid of Michael Crichton and Carl Hiassen. Cold Storage is sheer thrillery goodness, and riotously entertaining' Blake Crouch, New York Times bestselling author of Dark Matter `A thrilling, funny, and unexpectedly moving joy ride' Scott Smith, New York Times bestselling author

How To Lose Friends And Alienate People (2008)
Based on the autobiographical memoir by Toby Young. Simon Pegg stars as Sidney Young, an aspiring journalist for a British anti-establishment magazine who is unexpectedly offered a job at the glossy New York-based magazine Sharps. He is warned by the editor Clayton Harding (Jeff Bridges) that he'd better do all he can to charm his colleagues if he expects to succeed in this competitive world. But it isn't long before he has managed to upset just about the entire staff of the magazine in one way or another. Even when he's going out of his way to make amends, he's putting his foot in it. The only saving grace in the whole sorry situation is his friendship with sexy starlet Sophie Maes (Megan Fox). But will this be enough to save his sinking career?

Ghost Town (2008)

Misanthropic dentist Bertram Pincus (Gervais) can't believe his eyes when, after being revived from an operation where he died for seven minutes, he begins seeing ghosts everywhere he looks. Annoyed by this added inconvenience, Bertram finally agrees to help when the dearly departed start asking him to pass on messages to their nearest and dearest. But when Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear) badgers him into stopping the wedding of his recent widow Gwen (Tea Leoni), Bertram soon finds himself becoming romantically involved, adding another (spiritual) dimension.

All three films from the 'Jurassic Park' trilogy. In 'Jurassic Park' (1993) eccentric scientist John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) plans to open a theme park consisting of live dinosaurs, genetically engineered from DNA found in a preserved prehistoric mosquito. Archaeologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) are invited to view the park, along with chaos theory expert Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), only to find themselves being hunted when the dinosaurs break free. In 'The Lost World - Jurassic Park' (1997) the action takes us four years on from the events documented in the previous film, when dinosaurs have bred on the neighbouring site of Isla Sorna. Park founder John Hammond (Attenborough) gets back in touch with Ian Malcolm (Goldblum) and asks him to join his girlfriend Sarah (Julianne Moore), who is already on the island, hoping that together they might be able to explain recent events there. But they are all unaware that a rival expedition is on its way to the island with plans to capture the dinosaurs and take them back to the mainland. 'Jurassic Park 3' (2001) has Dr Alan Grant (Neill) approached by the Kirbys (William H. Macy and Tea Leoni), a wealthy couple who want a guide to escort them on a flight over Isla Sorna. Grant agrees to take the flight; but almost as soon as they are over the island, the Kirbys move the goalposts and attempt a landing. It seems their son got lost on a previous visit and the Kirbys have mounted this expedition in order to get him back; nevertheless, it's not long before a first dinosaur attack disables the plane and the rescue party finds itself stranded and at the mercy of the island's prehistoric inhabitants.

Collection of contemporary gangster films. In 'Mean Streets' (1973) four Italian-Americans from New York's lower East Side hang around at a local bar. Charlie (Harvey Keitel), the most responsible of the group, tries to protect his girlfriend's cousin, Johnny Boy (Robert De Niro), from the local debt collectors, but his young charge seems determined to live fast and die young. Heavily influenced by the French New Wave, 'Mean Streets' provided the first high-profile success for director Martin Scorsese and star De Niro. In 'Scarface' (1983), up-and-coming gangster Tony Montana (Al Pacino) arrives in Miami as a Cuban refugee. With his friend Manny (Stephen Bauer), Tony carries out a hit on a politician, earning him the gratitude of drug dealer Frank Lopez (Robert Loggia). Tony rises rapidly in the 'organization', but courts disaster when he becomes involved with Lopez's cocaine-addicted wife, Elvira (Michelle Pfeiffer). In 'Carlito's Way' (1993), Carlito (Pacino) is a Hispanic drugs boss just released from prison. Determined to go straight and move to the Bahamas with his girlfriend, Gail (Penelope Ann Miller), Carlito is tempted back to the wrong side of the law by his lawyer, nerdish coke-head David Kleinfeld (Sean Penn), for 'one last job'. Brian De Palma directs this visually eloquent film about a man's inevitable tragic demise with his familiar penchant for the big set piece and violent action. In 'Casino' (1995), Sam 'Ace' Rothstein (De Niro) is the mob's frontman for a billion dollar Las Vegas casino. The story begins in 1973; Ace falls for hooker Ginger McKenna (Sharon Stone), while boyhood companion Nicky Santoro (Joe Pesci) is appointed as his muscle at the club. Over the years various jealousies surface and erupt in a series of violent betrayals and, ultimately, the destruction of Rothstein's empire. In 'American Gangster' (2007), when his boss dies, underworld driver Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington) seizes his chance and begins to build his own criminal empire. Utilising the bodies of dead US soldiers, Lucas begins importing heroin direct from South-East Asia, increasing purity on the street, and undercutting his rivals in one swoop. Before long he's amassed a fortune, bringing him to the attention of maverick policeman Ritchie Roberts (Russell Crowe), an honest cop in an otherwise corrupt force, who makes it his business to shut Lucas down. Finally, in 'Public Enemies' (2009), set in 1930s gangland America, Johnny Depp stars as the charismatic bank robber John Dillinger. Dillinger's audacious raids and subsequent jailbreaks thrilled the American public as their sympathy for the banks that had plunged the country into Depression reached an all-time low. Despite his status as a folk hero, Dillinger was declared 'Public Enemy Number One' by J. Edgar Hoover (Billy Crudup) and became the prime target of Hoover's fledgling FBI, headed by Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale). Marion Cotillard co-stars as gangster's moll Billie Frechette.

In 'Spider-Man 2' (2004) two years have passed since the events of the first film, and the mild-mannered Peter Parker faces new challenges as he struggles with trying to balance his dual identities as the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man and his life as a college student. Tormented by his secrets, Peter finds that his relationships with all those he holds dear are in danger of unravelling. His life-long yearning for Mary Jane becomes even stronger as he fights the impulse to reveal his secret life and declare his love. His friendship with Harry Osborn (James Franco) is complicated by the young Osborn's bitterness over his father's death and his growing vendetta against Spider-Man. In 'Spider-Man 3' (2007) Peter Parker and Mary Jane are on the cusp of contentment - but not for long, as Peter's former friend Harry Osborn, son of the Green Goblin, becomes the New Goblin in his desire for revenge against Spider-Man. Fugitive Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church), killer of Peter's Uncle Ben, has been transformed into the shape-shifting Sandman, possibly Spider-Man's toughest foe so far. To complicate matters further, a parasitic alien symbiote has attached itself to Peter's suit, giving him even greater powers but also bringing out the evil side of his personality. He has to struggle not only against two major adversaries but also against himself.

Initially, the partnership doesn't gel, but with fearsome alien adversaries to take on K and J will come to rely on each other. 'Men in Black 2' (2002) finds K working as a postman, unaware of his former heroics alongside Agent J. However, when J uncovers a secret alien plot organised by the seductive Serleena (Lara Flynn Boyle) he knows he will require the skills of his former partner to foil such a dangerous enemy. In 'Men in Black 3' (2012) J is forced to journey back in time to the 1960s to try and rescue K, who has been assassinated with such extraterrestrial efficiency everyone on Earth appears to believe he has been dead for 40 years. With the aid of a terrifying 'time jump', J hooks up with a younger Agent K (played by Josh Brolin) and together the pair attempt to change the course of history.
