Into the Darkness is the second book in a trilogy; the first being The Eyes of Beelzebub. This is an adventure story for all the family Nathan Gladwick continues his battle between good and evil when he embarks on another fantastic mystical journey, this time by giant airship, to reach the next level and to find the Cross of the Holy Brotherhood. Accompanied by Rose and Timothy, he is joined by a colourful group of companions, who each play their part in the adventure. He meets his arch enemy, Dr Kazzan in Paris, and manages to evade him and continue towards Ghost Mountain, but not before the Doctor discovers his destination. After an eventful flight, he reaches Ghost Mountain, where he finds the Doctor, in the company of the Knights of the Realm. He survives to make the final ascent towards the castle of Baron de Foe, fighting off the shadow people before reaching the castle, where he finally meets the Baron and finds the Cross of the Brotherhood, only to discover that the Baron has a hidden agenda, and has kidnapped Timothy. As the castle crumbles around him, Nathan strives to rescue Timothy, but has to return for a final conflict with the Doctor, who has taken Rose in order to trade for the Cross. Will he get them all back to the airship in time? If they do survive, how will they all resolve their problems?
Nathan Gladwick sets off on an incredible journey to seek his fame and fortune, accompanied by Rose, and five children, who all become embroiled in his dangerous adventure. His arch enemy, Dr Kazzan pursues him relentlessly, using all his evil powers to discover what Nathan's father had found so terrifying. The glory that Nathan seeks is life changing and very different from what he expected. Will he succeed in the battle between good evil where his father failed?
To snitch or not to snitch? This is the question sixteen-year-old Seneca Allen can't seem to answer without trouble laying in the cut. What's a girl to do but get caught up when her male and female best friends date each other and one of them cheats right in front of her. No matter what she decides, her action or lack thereof will end up costing her a true friend. Also, being put on blast at school and labeled as a rat who's not to be trusted only adds to her growing drama. Although humiliated and depressed, Seneca sports her new tag like a true soldier to keep the actual snitch from being exposed. Just when she feels all the drama is finally squashed, she learns some horrible news that could devastate one of her best friends. Certain her days of dealing with snitching are over, she decides to keep what she knows on the low. But once Seneca's best friend finds out she withheld information, her loyalty comes into question. Will Seneca learn that sometimes keeping secrets does more harm than good? Or will she find out too late that snitches get stitches?
