A Roger Corman classic horror-spoof, which saw the first teaming of
Vincent Price, Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff on screen. Having
recently left the Brotherhood of Sorcerors after the death of his
wife, magician Erasmus Craven (Price) is visited by a talking raven
that claims to be another magician, Bedlo (Lorre). The bird also
claims to having been turned into a raven by Craven's arch-enemy Dr
Scarabus (Karloff). Bedlo persuades Craven to reverse the spell
and, after Craven hears that a woman who looks like his wife has
been seen in Scarabus' company, he accompanies Craven to Scarabus'
castle where a magical showdown ensues.
The complete seven seasons of the original mystery and suspense
series hosted by the master of suspense himself, Alfred Hitchcock.
Each 30-minute episode includes opening and closing monologues by
Hitchcock who explains some aspect of the day's story in his
inimitably dry, humorous monotone.
Terence Fisher directs this British Hammer horror starring Anton
Diffring and Christopher Lee. In Paris during the 1890s, sculptor
Dr. Georges Bonnet (Diffring) cheats death by murdering a young
woman once every ten years and taking her parathyroid glands for
himself. But at 104-years-old, his long-time collaborator declines
to help Georges with his next transplant, forcing him to blackmail
another surgeon (Lee) to help him with latest target Janine Dubois
(Hazel Court). But both the artist and the scientist are enamoured

During the immediate post-war years, the Huggetts were undoubtedly
Britain's favourite film family. Unashamedly working-class the
family epitomised the spirit of a united nation relishing simple
pleasures with a cheery, down-to-earth smile. In 'Holiday Camp'
(1947), the Huggett family's off on a spot of hols, led by dad Joe
(Jack Warner). They arrive at one of Britain's largest holiday
camps and soon find their lives intertwined with those of fellow
holidaymakers Jimmy Gardner (Jimmy Hanley), a 21-year-old sailor
jilted at the altar, spinster Esther Harman (Flora Robson) and
flashy 'Binkie' Hardwicke (Dennis Price). In 'Here Come the
Huggetts' (1948), the Huggett family returns in a home grown
adventure as the family is about to have the telephone installed.
In 'The Huggetts Abroad' (1949), the Huggett family is down on its
luck, as father Joe is unemployed. Son-in-law Jimmy has a job
waiting for him in South Africa, but no transport, so the whole
clan sets off for the far continent.in the car. Along the way they
have to cope with a breakdown, a broken compass in the Sahara,
diamond smugglers and a spell in prison. In 'Vote for Huggett'
(1948), Joe decides to enter the world of politics, causing uproar
in his own household and the local community.
