Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are
images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to
keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the
original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain
imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made
available for future generations to enjoy.

Presenting more than 266 full color anatomic drawings arranged by
organ system, this book is dedicated exclusively to feline anatomy
with emphasis on those areas of anatomy that are frequently
encountered in clinical practice. It includes a highly detailed
chapter on special senses which collects and organizes difficult to
find information for quick access. Nomenclature is from Nomina
Anitomica Veterinaria so that the feline anatomy is in line with
that used in other textbooks of veterinary anatomy of the domestic
animals. The book accurately captures the anatomy pertinent to
clinical veterinary medicine.

Just out of hearing of the grasshopper warblers, there was a
good-sized pool of water on the common, probably an old gravel-pit,
its bottom now overgrown with rushes. A sedge warbler, the only one
on the common, lived in the masses of bramble and gorse on its
banks; and birds of so many kinds came to it to drink and bathe
that the pool became a favourite spot with me. One evening, just
before sunset, as I lingered near it, a pied wagtail darted out of
some low scrub at my feet and fluttered, as if wounded, over the
turf for a space of ten or twelve yards before flying away.

This work provides a practical presentation of the uses and
interpretation of abdominal plain film for the small animal
practitioner. It includes essential clinical information in a
concise and easy to access format for the veterinary practitioner
and student. The work is designed to help the reader to learn how
to transform a radiograph from a flat black and white picture to a
3D image with multiple shades of grey, an improved visualisation of
the abdomen that it represents. This publication describes the
normal appearance of the abdomen, ways in which the radiographic
appearance changes to reflect disease, basic radiographic
techniques, and common abdominal disorders. Contained within this
book are around 250 images that add value to the text component.
Topics covered include: radiographic technique; normal radiographic
anatomy of the abdomen; peritoneal cavity; intra-abdominal masses;
alimentary tract; urinary tract; and reproductive tract and
anomalies.
