This is the solution manual for Riazuddin's and Fayyazuddin's
Quantum Mechanics (2nd edition). The questions in the original book
were selected with a view to illustrate the physical concepts and
use of mathematical techniques which show their universality in
tackling various problems of different physical origins. This
solution manual contains the text and complete solution of every
problem in the original book. This book will be a useful reference
for students looking to master the concepts introduced in Quantum
Mechanics (2nd edition).
This book presents comparative country case studies on the politics
of religion in South and Southeast Asia, including India, Pakistan
and Indonesia. It deals with politicized religious revivals that
cannot reasonably be depicted as mere quest for a moral anchor in a
world of flux and change.
The notion of a politics of religion' refers to the increasing role
that religion plays in the politics of the contemporary world. This
book presents comparative country case studies on the politics of
religion in South and South Asia, including India, Pakistan and
Indonesia. The politics of religion calls into question the
relevance of modernist notions of secularism and democracy, with
the emphasis instead on going back to indigenous roots in search of
authentic ideologies and models of state and nation building.
Within the context of the individual countries, chapters focus on
the consequences that politics of religion has on inclusive
nation-building, democracy and the rights of individuals,
minorities and women. The book makes a contribution to both the
theoretical and conceptual literature on the politics of religion
as well as shed light on the implications and ramifications of the
politics of religion on contemporary South Asian and South East
Asian countries. It is of interest to students and scholars of
South and South East Asian Studies, as well as Comparative
Politics.
The Politics of Group Rights presents case studies from seven
countries, illuminated by the latest insights from multicultural
and group-rights theory. Cultural diversity has powerful political
implications for both industrialized nations and developing
countries. In the former, the granting of group rights is seen as a
vital extension of liberal democracy, but critics point out that
such rights should not negate the human rights of individuals. In
developing countries, group rights are seen as indigenous to the
prevailing cultural and religious traditions but often times
negatively in relation to individual rights.
This book is related to a study where binding of Losartan Potassium
and Valsartan, two anti-hypertensive drugs to Bovine Serum Albumin
(BSA)were studied by Equilibrium Dialysis Method. The binding of
Losartan Potassium and Valsartan was characterized by two sets of
Association Constants.Losartan Potassium showed slightly higher
affinity towards BSA than Valsartan.Different analyses of binding
to BSA suggested the presence of one high affinity site and four to
five low affinity sites for Losartan Potassium and
Valsartan.Site-specific probe displacement data implied that both
Losartan Potassium and Valsartan primarily bind to site I, the
warfarin site, while the low affinity site of these two drugs was
site II, the Benzodiazepine site on BSA.During concurrent
administration of Losartan potassium and Valsartan, both drugs have
been found to increase the respective free concentration of one
another causing reduced binding to BSA.This book will be helpful
for the students and researchers of Pharmacy discipline specially
those who are interested or engaged in research related to Protein
Binding.
In this book, seismic response and characteristics of an isolated
and non-isolated building are studied using the finite element
method by SAP2000. An elaborate investigation of the influence of
various parameters involved in isolation is performed. In this
study of isolator, types, characteristics and installation
techniques in the column of building are considered and the design
of rubber bearing isolator for a multi storied residential building
located in Dhaka is performed.
