Collection of two comedies. In 'No Strings Attached' (2011), when long-time friends Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Ashton Kutcher) decide to add a physical dimension to their relationship and move into 'friends with benefits' territory, they agree to keep things strictly casual and on a 'no strings' basis. But before long both of them find things becoming more complicated than planned as those pesky emotions get in the way. In 'Morning Glory' (2010), a sparky, ambitious young television producer spies an opportunity to claw her way up the career ladder when she is offered a job on 'Daybreak', the worst-performing morning chat show in the ratings. Her decision to hire veteran newscaster Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford) to host the show meets with scepticism from network executive Jerry (Jeff Goldblum) and co-host Colleen Peck (Diane Keaton), and with little enthusiasm from Pomeroy himself, who is obliged by his contract to take this less-than-promising gig. Can Becky overcome the poor ratings and in-fighting to bring the team together and transform the show into something to be proud of?
Collection of films by directors Wes Anderson, Ben Lewin and Sacha Gervasi.
The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)
The Sessions (2012)
A shaggy-dog double bill. In 'Beethoven' (1992), Beethoven is a cute, small St Bernard puppy who finds refuge from animal experimenter Dr Varnick in the tidy household of George Newton (Charles Grodin). There Beethoven grows very big and causes near chaos. The sequel 'Beethoven's 2nd' (1993) sees George appalled to discover that the St Bernard and his partner, Missy, have produced four puppies: Tchaikovsky, Chubby, Dolly and Mo. Problems arise when Missy's evil owner (Debi Mazar) decides to use the dogs as pawns in one of her wretched schemes.
Anthony Hopkins plays the legendary director in this biopic that chronicles the personal and professional relationship between Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville (Helen Mirren) during the making of his 1960 classic 'Psycho'. It's 1959 and, increasingly worried about his relevance, Hitchcock decides a change of direction is what is needed. He settles on adapting Robert Bloch's true crime novel 'Psycho', despite the protestations of both Alma and Paramount President Barney Balaban (Richard Portnow).
Having to mortgage their house to pay for the film, Alma's initial opposition soon gives way to support, as she dutifully throws herself fully behind the project. But as her husband begins to indulge himself in his trademark flights of fancy with a variety of blonde stars, Alma, whilst trying to keep the marriage on the rails, is determined that her own needs take centre stage.
Beethoven, a cute, small St Bernard puppy, finds refuge from animal experimenter Dr Varnick in the tidy household of George Newton (Charles Grodin). There Beethoven grows very big and causes near chaos. Meanwhile Dr Varnick thinks Beethoven an ideal subject on which to test some new ammunition.
Ivan Reitman directs this sports drama starring Kevin Costner as the manager of an American football team. The story follows the lead up to and the day of the 2014 National Football League (NFL) Draft, where college players are selected to join a team. Under pressure from the team's owner Anthony Molina (Frank Langella), Cleveland Browns general manager Sonny Weaver Jr (Costner) accepts a deal to make a trade with Seattle Seahawks manager Tom Michaels (Patrick St. Esprit) for the number one pick Bo Callahan (Josh Pence) prior to Draft Day. However, this causes anger with the fans and within the NFL, and defensive player Vontae Mack (Chadwick Boseman), who is keen to join the Browns, attempts to prove to Sonny why he should pick him instead of Callahan. Meanwhile, in his personal life, Sonny is in a secret relationship with his team's lawyer Ali Parker (Jennifer Garner), who is pregnant with his child. Despite the challenges he faces, will Sonny be able to please everyone with the decisions he makes on Draft Day? The cast also features current and former football players such as Terry Crews, Deion Sanders, Alex Mack and Ray Lewis.
