Triple bill of comedies about the trials and tribulations of pregnancy and birth in the modern world. Jennifer Lopez stars in 'The Back-Up Plan' (2010). After years of directionless dating, Zoe (Lopez) has finally decided that the wait for the perfect man has been too long. Determined to become a mother before it is too late, she decides to go it alone and signs up to conceive a baby through artificial insemination. But when she meets Stan (Alex O'Loughlin) on the same day as successfully conceiving twins, a comedy of errors ensues as Zoe tries to keep her new relationship alive while struggling with the early stages of pregnancy. Judd Apatow writes and directs 'Knocked Up' (2007). Slacker Ben (Seth Rogen) and up-and-coming career girl Alison (Katherine Heigl) meet at a bar and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison asks to meet up with him and reveals that she is pregnant. Despite having little in common, the two decide that they have to at least try to make some kind of relationship work for the baby's sake. Tina Fey stars in 'Baby Mama' (2008) as Kate Holbrook, a successful single businesswoman who realises in her late thirties that, owing to an unforeseen gynaecological problem, she has left it too late to have a baby. Undaunted, Kate approaches a surrogacy agency run by the formidable Chaffee Bicknell (Sigourney Weaver), and engages working class girl Angie Ostrowiski (Amy Poehler) to be a surrogate mother. Once she finds out that Angie has become pregnant, Kate throws herself into reading childcare manuals, researching good schools and installing baby equipment in her apartment in between her business engagements - but the course of motherhood never did run smooth and Kate soon finds herself in circumstances way beyond her control.
Bittersweet romantic comedy from writer-director Cameron Crowe. When Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom) is fired from the shoe company he works for after losing them hundreds of millions of dollars, he is also dumped at the same time by his girlfriend. Deciding to kill himself, Drew's life is saved at the last minute by the news that his father has died, and that he wanted Drew to carry out his final wishes. On the flight back home, Drew meets feisty air hostess Claire (Kirsten Dunst), and as they gradually fall in love, Drew begins to find new purpose in his life. But before he does, will he be able to survive the memorial service and his eccentric family in the small town where he grew up?
Disney adventure using a mixture of live action and CGI animation to tell the story of a team of secret agent guinea pigs which has been trained in espionage techniques and armed with the latest high-tech spy equipment in order to take on a covert mission for the US government. The team, known by code-name 'G-Force', includes ambitious squad leader Darwin (voiced by Sam Rockwell), fearless weapons expert Blaster (Tracy Morgan) and lithe martial arts genius Juarez (Penelope Cruz). Also along for the ride is Darwin's housefly sidekick Mooch and computer whiz Speckles (Nicolas Cage), a star-nosed mole.
Can the gang prevent evil billionaire Leonard Saber (Bill Nighy) from taking over the world with a dastardly plan involving household appliances?
Double-bill of comedies. In 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' (2008), when struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) is dumped by his long-term girlfriend, TV star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell), he goes into a downward spiral. After a clumsy attempt at becoming a lothario backfires, he almost loses his job when he has a nervous breakdown. In a last ditch effort to put the past behind him, Peter heads for the sun-soaked beaches of Oahu for a well-deserved holiday. Everything goes swimmingly until Sarah turns up at the exact same resort accompanied by her new boyfriend, the wildly successful rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand)... In 'Knocked Up' (2007), slacker Ben (Seth Rogen) and up-and-coming career girl Alison (Katherine Heigl) meet at a bar and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison asks to meet up with him and reveals that she is pregnant.
