'A Question of Motive' is a semi-autobiographical novel about a
rogue and a scoundrel who is attracted equally to young women and
boys. The novel chronicles Ben's earliest sexual encounters with
young boys and later with intelligent women. Eventually, in his
middle age and long since divorced after twenty years of marriage,
Ben, who as an anti-hero, forms a national organisation for the
lovers of boys and for this he is imprisoned. The book appears to
be a life story but is largely fictitious.
