This collection features five peer-reviewed literature reviews on decision support systems (DSS) in agriculture. The first chapter provides a review of DSS in agriculture, whilst addressing the key questions surrounding their use for farm soil and crop management. The different aspects of agricultural DSS design, implementation and operation are also discussed. The second chapter assesses the role of DSS for pest monitoring and management through information technology such as, remote sensing, GIS, spectral indices, image-based diagnostics, and phenology-based degree day models. The third chapter discusses the potential of implementing DSS within the growing mechanisation in greenhouses. It examines differences in development and application of deterministic explanatory and data-based models for real-time control and DSS. The fourth chapter explores the key issues associated with deploying DSS in precision agriculture, whilst also considering their human and social aspects. The chapter also considers how future research on DSS can be moulded to improve productivity in a precision agriculture setting. The final chapter outlines the importance of a participatory approach in DSS development, whilst also offering examples of climate-based DSS for crop and land management, pest and disease management, and livestock (dairy) management.

Fantastic landscapes and fictional narratives, paired with the neon-colored light shows of Berlin's nightlife-the latest paintings, VR installations and poems by American artist Brandon Lipchik offer glimpses into his own personal wonderland. He presents his dark but also humorous scenes, which are bursting with homoerotic references, on the screen like a director presents his plays on a theater stage. With this new cycle of works, the Kunstpalais presents the world's first institutional solo exhibition of Brandon Lipchik. The richly illustrated publication is both an exhibition catalogue and an overview of the artist's oeuvre to date. Beyond that, it also shows influences, ideas, and digital work processes in a section designed by the artist himself.

Rainer Fetting achieved international recognition with the "New Wild Ones" in the early 1980s. With its elements of Expressionist painting, his art formed in opposition to the conventions of Abstract and Conceptual Art toward the end of the 1970s is highly topical again today. Fetting's painting is a significant precursor for the "queer" discourses on gender, identity, the individual, and power that not only shape the works of younger generations in our globalized art world but also current mainstream debates. His "expressive" portraits, cityscapes, and landscapes as well as the still lifes and flower paintings on which this publication focuses capture psychosocial energies that are evident in every painterly decision he makes. Works from four decades are presented here, some of them unpublished, early drawn studies and paintings from the time Fetting was commuting between New York and Berlin the 1980s and 1990s in addition to recent paintings, works on paper, and sculptures. The illustrated book is published in conjunction with the exhibition in the spaces of the Miettinen Collection in Berlin.
