The stakes are higher than ever, as Super-Villains more ambitious and depraved are introduced, and a realignment of alliances shakes up the fight for power in Gotham.

Season three of Gotham peels back the curtain on the infamous criminal organization known as the Court of The Owls. With the Indian Hill escapees on the loose, Jim Gordon must take matters into his own hands, as a bounty hunter in Gotham. He makes it his mission to find Hugo Strange and Fish Mooney. Meanwhile, GCPD’s Bullock and Barnes remain at the forefront of the fight against crime in the monster-ridden city. And Bruce Wayne discovers still more secrets behind his parents’ murder.

As the city sinks deeper into chaos, Gotham’s Super-Villains will be joined by the future Poison Ivy, a young woman who's harnessed the full power of her charms; the Tweed Brothers; and a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness who goes by the name of the Mad Hatter.

All thirteen episodes of the drama series starring Derek Jacobi as the medieval sleuth. In the opening episode 'One Corpse Too Many', Cadfael, once a man of the world, has become a man of the cloth. However, this by no means qualifies him as a saint. He discovers a murder, and sets out in pursuit of the perpertrator, assisted by a lovely young fugitive. 'The Sanctuary Sparrow' sees Brother Cadfael investigating the murder of the local goldsmith. In 'The Leper of St Giles' a great wedding is to take place in the Abbey of Shrewsbury between Baron Huon (Norman Eshley) and Iveta De Massard (Tara Fitzgerald). Iveta is a beautiful, kind soul and on the day she and her betrothed ride into the town she throws money to the lepers, but her brutish Baron beats them. On the eve of the wedding he rides off into the night never to return. Cadfael sets out to find out what is going on. In 'Monk's Hood', a landowner cuts his son-in-law out of his will, leaving his inheritance to the church. However, before the transaction is finished, Gervase Gurney (Bernard Gallagher) is poisoned whilst staying at the Abbey of Shrewsbury. Cadfael finds someone from his past as he looks into the poisoning. In 'The Virgin in the Ice' Cadfael has to prove the innocence of his novice, Oswin (Mark Charnock), who is accused of murdering a nun after he is found wandering deliriously. In 'The Devil's Novice', Cadfael is suspicious when a young man, Meriet (Christien Anholt), arrives at Shrewsbury Abbey wishing to become a Novice. Canon Eluard (Ian McNeice) shares Cadfael's doubts as to Meriet's intentions, and when the half-burned body of a colleague is discovered, Meriet is accused of murder. In 'A Morbid Taste For Bones', Cadfael reluctantly accompanies an expedition to dig up the grave of St Winifred, after one of the Shrewsbury monks has a vision. He soon finds himself investigating a murder, when Lord Rhysart (John Hallam) is found dead on a forest track with an arrow in his chest. Robert (Michael Culver) believes the culprit to be Godwin, who was having an affair with Rhysart's daughter, Sioned (Anna Friel). However, Cadfael has other ideas. In 'The Rose Rent', the recently-widowed of a rich merchant becomes an attraction for the men of Shrewsbury, until one of her suitors and a monk are murdered. In 'St Peter's Fair', conflict arises between the townspeople of Shrewsbury and visitors to the annual fair. In 'The Raven in the Foregate', Cadfael has a double murder to solve when a pregnant girl and a priest who refused to hear her confession are both killed. In 'The Holy Thief', Cadfael is on the hunt for a beautiful slave girl and the bones of St Winifred, both of which have mysteriously disappeared from the Abbey. In 'The Potter's Field', Cadfael uncovers a terrible web of jealousy, adultery and suicide pacts when he examines the past of a potter who has entered the monastery under suspicious circumstances. Finally, in 'The Pilgrim of Hate', an old man's corpse is found in a sack in the Abbey, and Cadfael must find his killer.

Glossy musical portrayal of Nazi Germany produced by Disney, in which a group of teenagers calling themselves the 'Swing Kids' express their rebellion against Hitler's regime by adopting American and British fashion, modes of speech and the swing music prevalent in the US in the late 30s and early 40s, but banned in pre-war Germany. Half drama, half musical, the film follows the escapades of Peter (Robert Sean Leonard), Thomas (Christian Bale) and Arvid (Frank Whaley) as their initially secret swing sessions become increasingly bold - and they are ultimately forced to decide between safety and freedom, family and politics.

Leon (Mark Frandel) suffers an identity crisis when he finds out he is not the Jewish son of a curtain net king, but rather the offspring of a Yorkshire pig farmer (Brian Glover). A more welcome complication develops as he divides his romantic attentions between two women - the girl-next-door played by Gina Bellman or the gorgeous Madeleine (Maryam D'Abo). A surprise commercial success, this British comedy was filmed on a profit sharing basis, with the crew working for nothing during the film's production, but receiving a percentage of any box office returns after it was released.

R178 Discovery Miles 1 780 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

The true story of Rome told through six crucial moments that shaped the destiny of the Empire.

The Roman Empire - the ancient world's only superpower - stood for six hundred years, a period in which dictatorship usurped democracy, nations were enslaved, the city of Rome was rebuilt and the Empire embraced Christianity. In this epic mini-series, CGI is mixed with compelling drama to tell the dramatic stories - the great battles, rivalries, rebellions and momentous achievements - that shaped the Roman Empire.

The story begins in 146BC with Rome's destruction of its ancient enemy Carthage; leading to the celebrated victory of Julius Caesar and the overthrow of the Republic; Emperor Nero's dramatic descent into madness; the Jewish Revolt - the biggest rebellion in Imperial history; Constantine's delivery of Christianity to the Empire; and finally the downfall of Rome, told through the tale of Alaric the Goth.

It reveals the greed, lust and ambition of men like Caesar, Nero and Constantine and with stunning locations and state-of-the-art visual effects portrays Rome as it really was: gritty, sometimes sordid, but ultimately magnificent.
