On behalf of the Organizing Committee for this event, we are glad to welcome you to IWASE 2006, the First International Workshop on Advanced Software Engineering. The goal of this Workshop is to create a new forum for researchers, professionals and educators to discuss advanced software engineering topics. A distinctive feature of this Workshop is its attempt to foster interactions between the Latin-American software engineering community and computer scientists around the world. This is an opportunity to discuss with other researchers or simply to meet new colleagues. IWASE 2006 has been organized to facilitate strong interactions among those attending it and to offer ample time for discussing each paper. IWASE 2006 attracted 28 submissions from 14 countries, 8 of them outside Latin-America. Each of the 28 articles was reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. As a result of this rigorous reviewing process, 13 papers were accepted: nine fiill papers and four work-in-progress papers. These papers were grouped in four tracks; software architecture, software modeling, software development process and experiences in software development.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Internet and Distributed Computing Systems, IDCS 2014, held in Calabria, Italy, in September 2014. The 23 revised full and 15 revised short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 50 submissions. The papers cover the following topics: ad-hoc and sensor networks; internet and Web technologies; network operations and management; multi-agent systems; cloud-based information infrastructures.

The 17 revised full papers and 10 revised work-in-progress papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 65 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on group awareness and social aspects, groupware design and development, computer supported collaborative learning, groupware applications and studies, group negotiation and knowledge management, and groupware activities and evaluation.

This book constitutes the refereed conference proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Ubiquitous Computing and Ambient Intelligence, UCAmI 2017, held in Philadelphia, PA, USA in November 2017. The 60 revised full papers and 22 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 100 submissions. The papers are presented in six tracks and two special sessions. These are Ambient Assisted Living, Human-Computer Interaction, Ambient Intelligence for Health, Internet of Things and Smart Cities, Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks, Sustainability, Socio-Cognitive and Affective Computing, AmI-Systems and Machine Learning.

This book constitutes the refereed proceeding of the 23rd International Conference on Collaboration and Technology, CRIWG 2017, held in Saskatoon, Canada, in August 2017. The 14 full papers presented together with 5 work-in-progress papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 33 submissions. The papers focus on collaboration technology design, development, and evaluation. The background research is influenced by a number disciplines, such as computer science, management science, information systems, engineering, psychology, cognitive sciences, and social sciences

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Ubiquitous Computing and Ambient Intelligence, UCAmI 2015, held in Puerto Varas, Chile, in December 2015. The 36 full papers presented together with 11 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 62 submissions.
