This book constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings of the 5th and 6th International Workshops on Computational Forensics, IWCF 2012 and IWCF 2014, held in Tsukuba, Japan, in November 2010 and August 2014. The 16 revised full papers and 1 short paper were carefully selected from 34 submissions during a thorough review process. The papers are divided into three broad areas namely biometrics; document image inspection; and applications.
This book presents a research work on some value added services for connected TV. The work has been done in the context of consumer electronics. An in-depth academic research is carried out in order to address several existing commercial challenges. The central theme of this book is TV with Internet which is going to become a popular product in the electronics market. The content starts with discussing about the platform on which value added services are implemented. Next, a video compression algorithm is realized on the target hardware platform. The issues like video encryption, video watermarking, and services like channel logo recognition, text localization and recognition in video stream are successfully explored. Implementation details as well as experimental results show the utility and viability of the proposed services in the context of RF TV. All the book chapters are supported by thorough state of the art analysis that would help the new comers to understand the subject well. The experts will benefit from a few deployed solutions based on the proposed technology. In summary, the book can be used as a ready reference for both the academia and the industries.
