Yet China has grown for decades without the fundamental legal infrastructure that was once considered necessary. This is called the 'China puzzle' or the 'China myth'. By carefully comparing the four key branches of private law in China and Taiwan - a jurisdiction that grew with modest legal institutions and shares similar legal and non-legal culture - this collaborative and novel book demystifies the 'China puzzle'. Top scholars in the field use an economics-focused analytical approach to explain how and why the laws have taken such paths over the past four decades. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Computational Social Networks, CSoNet 2015, held in Beijing, China, in August 2015. The 23 revised full papers and 3 short papers presented together with 2 extended abstracts were carefully reviewed and selected from 101 submissions and cover topics on social information diffusion; network clustering and community structure; social link prediction and recommendation; and social network structure analysis.

The fundamental and applied engineering issues to develop stable and functional bioactive papers for health and environmental diagnostics are investigated. Enzymes are directly physisorbed on paper or retained on paper with a polymer. The reactivity and the thermal stability of enzymatic papers are quantified using an advanced colorimetric technique. Paper bioassays to identify antigens and antibodies in a biofluid, such as blood, are investigated. The blood typing using a low cost paper diagnostic is shown. The feasibility of thermal ink jet printing is illustrated for the precise deposition of biomolecules on paper and polymers. Microfluidic channels are also printed on paper to demonstrate the concept of paper diagnostic devices. Liquid- liquid and solid-liquid interactions that involve ink jet printing of biomolecules onto paper are quantified and modelled. This study validates paper as a bioactive support. The ink jet printing is shown as a convenient technique which can be scaled up for diagnostic and industrial applications.
