Clinique products are formulated avoiding known allergens. Each
product is tested by a group of 600 people where the formulation is
applied 12 times in search for a zero reactions result. Each successful
formula is regularly re-assessed for possible improvements which can
result in a formulation change. Rather than selling a universal program
to all customers, Clinique seeks to customize their solution to each
individual—skin type is determined and a specific regime is recommended
for each customer.

menswear design for the collection as well as the cK brand. He returned

brands and subsequently created the Polo Jeans Company.

Cosmetics giant Estée Lauder began in 1946 with a line of four products
manufactured by Lauder’s uncle and under the marketing genius of Joseph
and Estée Lauder. As funds were limited early on, they grew their
business through innovation and determination: Samples were given to
customers before purchasing, they were tasteful and personal in their
sales tactics, and they only sought the most prestigious of clients and
accounts. This set a standard for modern cosmetics sales and a
precedent for Estée Lauder, as their brand is only carried in the
finest stores today. In time, Estée Lauder expanded their range of new
Estee Lauder perfume products as well as their selling market. They
started their first international account in 1960 with Harrods in
London and opened an office in Hong Kong the following year. Aramis, a
line dedicated to fragrances and products for men, was started in 1964,
and Clinique Laboratories Inc., the first dermatologist-guided,
allergy-tested, fragrance-free cosmetic brand, was launched in 1968.
Since then, Estee Lauder has continued to provide exceptionally
exquisite products that are favorites for both men and women all around
the world.
Estée Lauder introduced their first women’s fragrance, Youth Dew Estee
Lauder perfume, in 1950. A captivating scent with a lingering
fragrance, the first Estee Lauder perfume sold 50,000 bottles within
the very first year alone. With quality research always preceding a
product launch, a long list of fine women’s Estee Lauder fragrances
followed the initial success of Youth Dew, such as the Beautiful,
Beyond Paradise, Pleasures, and Pure White fragrance series. Other
popular fragrance lines by Estee Lauder include White Linen, Estée, and
Intuition, all of which became instant favorites for women across the
globe upon their release. Lines of Estee Lauder fragrance for men were
also introduced by Estée Lauder. These men’s Estee Lauder fragrances
were accompaniments to their more popular Estee Lauder perfumes, such
as Beyond Paradise for Men, Pleasures for Men, and Intuition for Men.
