It begins in Tietelsen, 12 miles northwest of Trendelburg, Germany. A weaver, Johannes Nilmaier and his wife Anna Christina, wonder if this place they live in is all there is for them. That question will change their lives, and the lives of many others, forever. As you move through the pages of the next 154 years, you will meet many more additional characters spinning out their lives.
