2011 Reprint of 1959-1960 Two volume Set. Two volumes bound in one.
Full facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical
Recognition Software. David Martyn Lloyd-Jones was a Welsh
Protestant minister, preacher and medical doctor influential in the
Reformed wing of the British evangelical movement in the 20th
century. He took the view that true Christian fellowship was only
possible amongst those who shared common convictions regarding the
nature of the faith. This two volume set consists of thirty sermons
preached on successive Sundays. The "Sermon on the Mount" is not a
code of ethics or of morals; it is a description of what Christians
are meant to be. In Studies in the Sermon on the Mount, D. Martyn
Lloyd-Jones offers a comprehensive exposition of one of the best
known but often misunderstood passages in the Bible. With
characteristic wisdom, he keeps one eye on Scripture and the other
on the world as he explains Christs teaching to modern-day
believers.
